I was looking at a 2001 cobra, well maintained, but high miles (about 60,000). since i would have to finance it, i was wondering about the long term reliability of it. assuming i took nice care of it, how many miles should i be able to get out of it before major things starts falling apart? any high miled cobra drivers?

10,000 miles a year is not a lot, hell thats less than a lease allows you to drive there rented cars.as long as you stay on top of the maintenance and keep it up, you should be able to get 200,000 out of it. if you race you will destroy it fast.
