Yes, i do have those stupid u shaped "keys" im having trouble getting it out even when the keys are shoved in there. is there anybody who knows how to change a deck on a ford? do i shove the keys in then pull it out by the keys? because the keys just fall out when i tug on them. ive shoved them in as far as they would go and nothing happens.

You have to be careful with the "ford radio keys". insert them and you can feel them click. then, gently push both keys outward (away from each other) and the radio should unlock. you might have to pull it a little. one thing to note: you may have damaged the locks on the radio by pushing the keys in too far and bending the tabs. now you have a bigger problem. you will need to get to those tabs from the back. on the right side remove the glove box so you can reach that one. on the left you may be able to get behind it with a flat blade screwdriver and push the tab back into place. if in doubt, take it to a shop in your area. nice luck!
