Ive got a ford mondeo auto..1997 that only drove in d,now it only goes in reverse.any ideas ?.?
At first when i got the car it worked fine then i lost ist and second gears now ive only got reverse,cant see it being the gear box as the car is a p reg,1997 and hs been looked after.the transmission oil level seems ok.can someone help plz

Just replace tranny, in long run, cheaper than rebuild in this case. if k to a shop they are going to charge you for exploritory surgery, and thats just to see what they can figure out, plus some tranny shops dont do very good work. the tranny goes out just after warranty, then your back where you started. if opt to rebuild. ask around, talk to people who has had their tranny rebuilt.
