Ive got a ford mondeo p reg and when i put my foot down abit like after changing from 1st to 2nd gear it just high revs and doesnt go any faster. it started doing it in 3rd and 4th gear but now its started doing it in 2nd aswell??its like it turns in to an automatic but its a manual. ive been told that it mite need a new clutch but the clutch has got a lot of pull in it.could it be a sticky throttle? this is driving me nuts so could someone help me.no stupid answers thanx.

Your clutch is slipping. get your mech to adjust the clutch linkage. try this, activate your parking (hand) brake, engage 1st gear, and try to move off. under normal condition, the car should move. if not adjust or replace your clutch
