Is a vehicle recall a bad thing?
Is it a bad thing for ford to recall a bazillion vehicles due to "possible faulty switches"?i wonder how much money they actually make from owners bringing their vehicles in, and having ford go ahead and change the oil and rotate the tires while its in the shop.?is ford really losing any money in this deal?it goes for other companies too.. happening with ford today: http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070803/ford_recall.html?.v=1there is some great answers here..if the question was "do i have to get my oil changed while in for my recall".of course, that wasnt the question.the question is: do the blokeufacturers like a recall..?..because it brings hundreds more vehicles through the shop doors, which increases the chances of customers getting other things done while the car is in the stall.
Answer
If your vehicle is recalled, you are not obliged to pay anything whatsoever.
they should not carry out other work without your express permission, if they do, you should refuse to pay and ask them to return your vehicle to it is
original state.
