No. vins= country, make, veh. type, gross veh. wgt, line, series, body, engine, check digit, model yr., plant loc. seq. serial (6 digit) number. ething except the seq serial # uses only 1 digit. check the sticker on the door; it should have what type of trani the car has. the mitchell manuals available in the ref section of the library can be a tremendous help.
