Mustang gt is powered by a 300hp, 4.6l sohc v8shelby cobra is powered by a 480hp, 5.4l dohc with an eaton supercharger. the cobra also has a tremec 6 speed transmission, whereas the gt has a 5 speed or a 4speed auto.the cobra has better brakes and suspension than the gt as well, along with different trim (both interior and exterior) and more sport oriented gauges.
