I have always dealt fords and so have my parents and we have never had any problem with ford productions(but we have always brought them brand-new), we have been able to put a lot of miles on our fords. my mom even had a 89mercury cougar which she brought brand new and she got rid of it with 319,887miles on it. so i don`t care what somebody says about the fords, i like them .i`ve always been taught that any car that u take care of, it will take care of u. but in this case even though i don`t care a thing about vw`s if i were u i would trade it in and get a newer one like the guy was saying before me. simply because i heard that by 2008 or 09 that they will be discontinuingthe freestyle.so because of that i would stick to the jetta wagon. but now they said in the news, that mercury will be coming out with another car that will have the same body style as the freestyle it is called mercury meta one.it will be coming out either by the end of 2008 or in the beginning of 2009. so look into it.and if that is long to wait an updated vw.
