Answer
Your best bet is to call the dealership themselves and ask them. the cheapest way to get something like an alternator replaced is to buy the alternator itself somewhere like at autozone or advanced auto parts. the price may vary depending on where you live. i entered my zip code and came up with around $200.00. one was $211.00, the other $185.00, both prices including the cores.the only problem with buying the part outside of the dealership is it will not be covered by their warranty. they may (or may not) warranty the labor, but the part itself will not be covered by the ford warranty.including labor you might be looking at between $400 to $500, possibly more.
