While driving my 05 focus yesterday i stepped on the gas and nothing happened it did this three times. then i pulled over and as i was slowing down it shifted into nuetral. i put it in park and then back into drive and drove home with no problem. any idea what happened or what i can do to fix it?

This happened to me with my 2000 focus. i brought it to the shop and all i needed was a nice service job. the changed the spark plugs and and oil change. it went away after thathope this helps
