Dodge

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 and since october have had about 5 incidents where it doesnt want to start. during these events, the gear shift indicator lights up all gears, from "p" all the way across to "2"- making it appear as if i am in all gears at once. i thought there was a glitch, however yesterday it refused to start. even after allowing it to sit, it wont start. i had the battery checked and it is good, replaced the starter (which auto zone said was bad) and it still wont start. i rented a diagnostic kit from auto zone and it said there were not problems???? apparently, it will only diagnose computer problems, not mechanical. any ideas what could possibly be wrong with my truck??? help me.

You have an electrical problem with it,and it needs to be checked out by a shop normally small electrical problems can be handled but something like this need to go to a shop,this way they can find and repair the problem in half the time it would take you and probably save you some money on it also,they will know what to do,and it probably wont take them long to find it,nice luck with it.
