Gas problem with 1992 dodge colt blokeual?
So my 92 dodge colt bloke
ual has been using way more gas than it should, getting roughly 20 mpg. its a 4 cylinder car, so it should be upwards of 35-40. (so says reviews) i still need to replace spark plugs, but my question is this. when i first got the car, i had to replace the transmission. yes, its the same kind, make, its for the same year etc etc. now, i put it all back the same, and it drives great. i have no tachometer. now, the line from the gas pedal to the tramission. with me? when i press the gas, it pulls a lever on the transmission up. this had to be tightened (well my friends dad tightened it) after instalation. could it be that its
tight and is using more than enough gas to run the car? i have loosened it, and the car is quieter, and does not seem to rev (by sound) as high as it used to. could that be the reason the car was using
much gas? thanks
