This truck will smoke for the first few minutes after i start driving when the truck has been left idling . the truck runs fine has no other problems but does use some oil between changes. could it be the berrings in the turbo?

The bearings in the turbo could cause the engine to smoke. the most likely cause of your problem, in my opinion, is worn valve stem seals. while the engine is running, the little bit of oil that leaks past is burned off unnoticed. once the engine has stopped, the oil pools on top of the pistons. the engine will smoke when it is first started until the excess oil is burned off. by the way, this only applies if the smoke is a bluish color. black smoke indicates excess fuel, and white smoke indicates water in the combustion chamber.
