Looking to tow a heartland cyclone (12499 dw) loaded with bike and ls (maybe 2 tons max)

I take it your ram 3500 is a ctd. i own a 04 ram 3500 (ho) ctd laramie quad cab 4x4 srw non-duallie and from what i recall the only differentials offered was the: 3:73 4:10 with my 04 having the ho ctd, 3:73 limited slip rear axle & being 4x4. i can haul upto 23,000lbs gvwr (gross combined weight) and the ability to tow up to 15,500 lbs with my 3:73 rear axle and i believe the 4:10 rear axle has the same ratings but being a duallie your tow weight will be slightly lower than 15,500lbs because of being slightly heavier truck than the srw. however, check your hitch/reciever rating as my 04 ram 3500 towing package came with a class iv hitch bumper pull hitch and will only allow me to pull 12,000 lbs. however, my aftermarket 5th wheel reciever hitch is rated for 16,000 lbs. when calculating your combined weight you should include in your calculation is full fuel & passenger weights. hope this helps!
