Timing marks on a 1987 dodge shadow?
Can anyone tell me how the timing marks line up on a 1987 dodge shdow with a 2.2 four cylinder motor
Answer
Remove #1 spark plug, turn the crankshaft until the #1 piston is at top .check to see if it is at top by inserting a long screw driver into the spark plug hole.there should be a small round dot on the front of the crankshaft sprocket , it should line up with the dot on the intermediate shaft sprocket ,to the right. they should be face to face.there are four large holes on the cam shaft sprocket , one has a smaller hole above it , this mark should point straight up ,the two small marks on the outer part of the cam sprocket should line up level with the head surface.
