Im looking to lift my 1998 dodge ram 5.9l v8. . i want it to stand tall but still be able to do some nice in the mud. ..what type of lift and how high should i go also what tires should i put on it. ..im looking to only spend about 5-6k also about how much would it cost to have a ranch hand bumper replacement

Go with the rock-crusher 6" or the fab-tech 4.5" lift and a 2" body lift.nerf bars or retractable steps. dual shocks in front and rear;and dual steering dampener. i would not go with any tire above 37". nitto makes a great "mud grappler". ranch hand bumpers can be found for $795 on e-bay--but i like "road armor" or "fab fours" better for off-road. adding mud flaps and fender flairs should also be done for state and local laws on tire size---and protect the paint and body (looks good too)--that and get five tires and wheels all the same size--nothing worse then putting on a too small of spare . all of this can easily be done at a shop in the 5-6 k range or in the 4k range if you do the shopping and the work.
