I start my truck, the oil pressure gage reads normal for about ten seconds and then drops to zero and the check gauges light comes on. what is wrong with my truck?

Are they an oil operated gauge? if so your oil pump sounds like it may have sh(*t itself. dont drive it until you have fixed it.
