1999 dodge caravan seal leak?
I have a 1999 dodge caravan, and my rear main seal is leakin transmission fluid when it gets hot, does anybody have an estimate on what that should cost?thanks for the help so far but i have had 2 mechanics locally look at it and they say its the rear main seal, but yet when you pour more and more transmission fluid in it, it runs longer?

It sounds like the transmission seal or possible (most likely) a plugged transmission vent. you may need to pull the transmission its about two hours to do for most mechanics, its possible the vent may be cleaned with out pulling the transmission. have a pro check it first. nice luck and god bless
