I have a 2006 dodge charger rt with the road and track perforbloke ce group package and i was going to take it to my local muffler shop and get the resonators cut off and i was going to get stainless steel tips added to my facotry mufflers. i stopped by a midas to see what they charged and the salesmen told me that if i cut the resonators off the car will never pass my state(va) emisson test. is this true? he also told me that the car will lose horsepower. is the true as well? when i finaly got to the muffler shop , that tech/mechanic told me that evrything that the midas salesmen told me was wrong. he said that the car will pass my state emisson test and it will make my car breathe better which will in turn give me a better sound and a lil more horsepower . what do you think? i need some real nice answers because i am suppose to be going back to my local muffler shop tomorrow to get the resnators cut off

It will not affect any emissions test, it still will pass the tests, it will make it breather better.the only warranty it will void would be that of the exhaust.
