Answer
You need to find a better place to do your brakes. off of the autozone website you can get brand new rotors with a 2 year warranty for 49 bucks so you have a hundred in rotors which i bet they havent replace but just turned the old ones down which trues them up and the best brake pads are 40 dollars with a lifetime warranty. so thats 140 in parts and im sure they get better prices than retail customers. a good mechanic can do this in an hour easy so if its 100 bucks for labor you are taking it on that. now if you are spending a minimum on 1600 there on your brakes like you said, maybe you should look to the aftermarket for some bigger brakes with better designed rotors, calipers, and pads. just my .02 good luck on getting dodge to give you anything at all. you wont get anything unless a couple thousand other 2002 owners come forward .
