Can a oem infinity gold amplifer from a 02 sebring convertible work in a 01 coupe?
A friend of mine had water in his 01 chrysler sebring lxi coupe and that fried the amp- he can get a amp from a 02 sebring convertible. will it work in his coupe or is the circiut board different?

No, it will probably not work.
the sebring convertible and sebring hardtop are 2 completely different vehicles. the hardtop is mitsubishi, and has a mitsubishi amplifier in it. the convertible is chrysler, and has a chrysler amplifier in it.
the plugs will likely be different preventing him from being able to plug it in.
the hardtop sebring and dodge stratus (2-door stratus only) used the same amplifier from 2001 to 2005, it was part number mr472783, and may have been used in some mitsubishi vehicles as well.
