1999 chrysler sebring lxi --- severe rear end damage--- wont start?
After i was in an accident a few months back. i shut it off, went into the sheriffs station and filed my police report, got back into the vehicle, drove it into my garage, put a cover over my sebring lxi and started saving money to fix it. the damage is all to the rear end. it has sat in my garage for a few months now but when i tried to start it today i got nothing. when i put the key in i got nothing not a single light or ding out of it. i tryed jumping the battery but still got nothing. i was told that there was a fuel reset button that might need to be pushed, but i still expected the car to at least register the key was in the ignition. any ideas?
Answer
Sounds like you might need a new battery or a good
charge( minimum 4-6 hours on a slow charge). all cars with computer control use some amperage while the car is off, even though the car is off, certain components still draw power( ex. clock memory, pcm, memory, etc.) a fuel reset will only cause a crank, no start, so stay away from thinking its that, good
luck
