I worked at a dodge/chrysler/jeep dealership and one of the master mopar techs told me that it uses only a little more gas and i would never be able to tell the difference. can i stay cool without using fuel? and is that a rhyme of some kind?

That is a decent rhyme, but the gas usage is minimal. you will decrease your mpg much more for e mph you drive faster than 70mph.
