Chrysler

My 2001 chrysler sebring lx sedan failed inspection.?

I recently replaced the battery and didnt drive it much after. the mechanic told me i must drive the car so man y miles in order for the computer to reset, since i disconnected the power. how man y miles should i drive it before i take it back to the shop to pass inspection?
Answer
The computer needed to do all its driving ranges like highwaydriving, going up hills, going down hills, different speeds, and load conditions. you cant say how many miles you need to drive to meet all the different conditions. a person that never drives over 40mph may never meet specs and some people may meet them all in 10 minutes of driving. you should be safe if you drive it at different speeds, up and down a few hills. a easy way to tell if its ready on a chrysler is if the engine light blinks in the first few seconds of turning the car on its not ready to be tested.
