I have a 1967 55hp chrysler outboard that dies out after half throttle.does this motor have points?
I just got new plugs cuz my father-inlaw had the wrong ones in it.i am wondering if i need to pull the fly wheel and maybe ajust or clean the points.

You could have an ignition problem but i don`t think so.what you describe is almost 100%fuel.check your fuel line,the older chrysler line always caused trouble.replace it if its stiff cracked etc.then let me know if the problem is still there.
