A number of different things can cause this. it could be the fuel pump going out. it will get hot, shut off, then after a while, it cools down and starts pumping again. could be the asd relay getting too hot. could be a coil shorting out inside after it gets hot, could be any of a number of modules shutting down when it gets hot.could be a short in a sensor somewhere, or a shorted wire causing it (not likely, but possible). it could be something else not even close to anything i suggested here.best thing in a case like this is to take it in (to the dealer repair shop, or local independent repair shop) and have a qualified technician check it out to see what is causing it to stall out. once they get it to stall, they can check everything to see exactly what is not working right.most common cause is the fuel pump going out.
