I am looking to purchase a 2005 corvette with 29,500 miles for $30,000. are there any common problems with this car or anything i should watch out for???does this sound like a nice deal and what are the residual values like ok this car?thanksare the parts for the corvette expensive or the same as any other chevy?should i purchase the extended warranty or do you think i will be fine without it?thanks again

I had two 06 c6s. i was disspointed. i didnt like the way the convertible top unlatched on one.. (you had to twist this handle) the nav screen didnt work when cold or would work intermiitently and they could never figure it out. finally, the nav screen broke and they replaced the unit and it worked great. the hardtop had a harness problem. apparently during assembly someone had routed a wire wrong and so, in about 100 miles it wore throught the insulation and caused a pcm fault. this took 5 trips to the dealer to get fixed. this car aso had other misc probs. one thing you should know, corvettes need special care and attention when you change the oil. the jacking points are specific. the cars were fun.. but i eventually traded them off for a porsche 911 s cab.
