What type of horsepower increase can i see from a hypertech chip for a 97 chevrolet camaro z28(lt1).

Hypertech has a few ways you can go and as you have been told already your only going to get about a 5% to 7% gain out of a chip.i would look in to reprograming what you have, you can send yours out, but youll have to be sure to know what you want, or you can get a reprogramer your self, hypertech, accel and jet all makes a reprogramer that you can use your self, why i like this better then sending yours out or using a chip is cause you can reprogram in so blokey ways, youll have control of air/fuel ratios, ignition timing and advance, shift points, shift firmness, speed limiters and rev limiters and you can set your speedometer for tire sizes & axle ratios you can tune for low timp t-stats for more hp, and you can read codes and clear em.all right in your hand, and you can reprogram over and over so you can fine tune e thing you have.and by reprograming you can get as much as 7% to 20% more out of what you have now.i would also look in to dfi ( digal fuel injection )its the latest and greatest of air/fuel blokeagement systems there is, and that can give you a nother 10% to 20% more power.check em out at summitracing.com, jegs.com, accell.com, northenautoparts.comkeep the rubber side down and good luck.
