change the shift knob on a 2005 chevrolet cobalt?

put on and i have
no idea how to get my stock one off.

Removal procedureimportant: place the shift control in neutral before attempting to remove the shift knob screw. pull the shift knob bezel down to expose the shift knob retaining screw. remove the shift knob retaining screw. remove the shift knoband bezel from the shift control lever. installation procedureinstall the bezel and shift knob to the shift control lever. install the shift knob retaining screw. tighten tighten the screw to 2 n·m (18 lb in). secure the shift knob bezel to the shift knob. gm procedures, best answer??
