Thinking of buying a 1999 or 2000 740i sport. i need as much info as i can get. rumor has it that the top speed is limited to 129 mph. call me crazy but that just wont cut it. i have to keep up with my brothers 2001 audi a6 2.7t which just hit 150 mph with 4 pasengers and a trunk full of luggage on the way to vegas. if you have a brother then you understand. if there is somebody out there that would like to be cyber-buddies on this go ahead and email me at planbenterprise@yahoo.com. thanks.

Supposedly the 740i sports were delivered without the governer in place. go to the links below. turner is a nice company and sells great performance products. bavauto is ok. bmp is nice too. you could always swing for the v12. i got a 750il and love it. if you do your own wrenching and are ever looking for parts go to the third link. they usually have most other online bmw parts places beat. oh.. dinan will sell you software to remove the top limit. they are nice but you will pay for it. you could install a dinan package on your car.
