You can use any coolant approved for aluminum type engines. the same law covers coolants as does engine oils and/or replacement parts. if it is exclusive by brand ie, bmw, then the manufacturer must (emphasis must) provide it free of charge. the myth to use only bmw coolant is like other companies, they want you to use their products.
