I need an answer considering these issue numbered by priority as under:1) safety2) driving pleasure3) resale valuethe model i am considering to buy is a brand new bmw-z4

I suppose it depends.. for pure drag racing, an automatic with a high stall torque convertor is probably better, even the best drivers miss gears in a stick. safety? an automatic,, average drivers on cell phones, eating breakfast and whatnot have much to worry about already driving pleasure? in the eye of the beholder,, automatics can be made to be just as powerful and effiecient as a stick but you have less control over the tranny. resale? automatics are more expensive and more complicated to repair.. you could go either way with this point.
