Assuming stick shift...maybe the reverse ring under the shifter broke?if you can shift into reverse and nothing happens - maybe your clutch went bad.if you can shift into forward gears and move, maybe your transmission is starting to go.if you have an automatic, the little ring used to separate park from reverse may have broken.
