How can i make my 2001 525i bmw faster without spending to much money?

I turned my 2001 525i bmw look like an 2003 m5 but it is still , slow. does anyone know what i can do to make it go faster, i dont want to break the sound barrier but i would like it to accelerate faster. some body help

A nice air intake...lighter flywheel...exhaust..injectors spark plugs..little things like that add up..
