Loping bimmer?

We have a 1989 bmw 325i that has a consitent surging at idle (cold or walking temp) have replaced the idle contol valve and ajusted the valves.this seems to be a consistent problems with the e30 series bmw any ideas and yes its a bimmer (car) beemer (motorcycle)
Answer
It is the board, not the control valve,, also most people screw up and adjust the butterfly valve on the throttle body thinking this is the idle adjust, it is not,the idle control board is above the computer, about the size of a cigeretter pack,, resolder the connections inside, try it again,i have also on one car, put a gate ball valve on the engine side to limit the amount of air that can be sucked in the icv, it worked well,
