BMW

I recently bought a 97 model 328i from an auto auction. the car is in great shape except for while im in "park" the engine will increase in rpm and go back down in around 1 second intervals. should i be worried about this problem or is there any way to fix this. -thank you

I suggest taking your car to a bmw shop and not wasting money on guess work. a bmw tech will be able to pin point the problem quickly. could be an idle valve. but i would be guessing without looking at it.
