I have a 2000 323 and the steering is kinda hard i drove a ford suv and it wasnt as hard as my 323 is the car or the bmw are supposed to be like tht for more controlled traction

Typically peformance cars have "higher effort" steering to give you better "road feel". the same is true of other performance cars as well.
