Yes. insurance follows the car. if he was driving with your permission he is an insured and the liability coverage applies to him. you are not personally responsible for his actions, but your insurer will have to provide coverage for him, unless the policy carries an endorsement excluding him by name. in that case, there is no coverage for anything.
