You will absolutely still need to have auto insurance. pip is only a part of the insurance policy. personal injury protection is the coverage that will pay your own medical bills no matter who is at fault in the accident. you will still need to have at least liability & uninsured motorist coverage and probably some sort of medical payments,
not pip.
