Sratched my rental car today, can i call and add insurance?
Got a rental car for a week now because my other car is being serviced. as usual i declined the rental insurance for the car. today i accidentally scratched the side of the car. can i call and add the premium insurance coverage to get me out of paying for the damages, or is there a way the rental company will know??

No, it is too late to add the insurance. you have to do it immediately upon renting. yes, they will know. i rented a car one weekend and while driving on the highway, a small pebble struck the windshield and caused a tiny crack. as soon as i drove up with the car, this guy walked right up to the windshield and pointed to the crack. they charged me $28 dollars to fix the crack although i lied and said i did not crack it.
