A fellow employee of mine was fired because he bought a car from another dealership thats illegal right?
See i work at a car dealership that sells crappy hyundais and used cars that are.. well the general manager that gets the used cars from the auction usually knows they are not in the best shape and fixes them
to get them a little farther than off the lot without problems, any way my friend got promoted at work and wanted and needed a new car so he went to an other dealership to buy the car he wanted which was a new nissan which we dont sell 2 days later he was fired for doing so, the gm was pissed cause he didnt buy a car from where we work but the gm dosent even drive a hyundai his family doesnt even own a hyundai so why is he so pissed off and i just wanted to know if what he did was illegal or not

If that is the only reason they gave, then he should definitely consult with a legal prefoessional. is there a contract for working there wherein employess agree not to buy a car from another dealership?
