Can somebody please tell me how to measure the efficiency of a hybrid car vs a normal gasoline car??i mean design an experiment.

Map out a road course, including different types of driving conditions: highway, country roads, city streets. get two vehicles, such as honda civic and honda civic hybrid, with similar transmissions and equipped the same way. fill the gas tanks of both vehicles. drive the course you chose, with both vehicles. when back at the starting point, refill the gas tanks and you will know which used more gas. both vehicles should have trip odometers, so you can measure the miles traveled then divide by the gallons used. viola! you then get miles per gallon.
