I totaled my car, would i still have to pay the sales tax on a new car?
I am
trying to get this right..i totaled my car, i eventually have to give it up, if i buy a new car, does that mean i have to start the process all over again of paying the sales tax when i register it? i heard something about arbritration is that true?
Answer
Arbitration (n.) the process by which the parties to a dispute submit their differences to the judgment of an impartial person or group appointed by mutual consent or statutory provision.
can you argue with insurance over the settlement you get? i suppose you can. but why would you think you would not
have to pay sales tax again
because the previous car was wrecked?
as others have said, if you state allows it you may be able to save a little by transferring your plates to the new car.
