If new car ads for dealership show unbelievable prices but say "several to choose" is it nice to be true?
I live in a big city where large new car dealership advertise in the newspapers with unbelievable prices (thousands less than what the car usually sells for) on new cars. however, usually in small print it will always say "several to choose" or "few to choose." is there any chance of actually getting the new car at the lower price or is it
another ploy to get you into the dealership? has somebody ever gone to the dealer and got a new car for the reduced "special" print ad pricing?
Answer
If they say there are several to choose from, it means they have more than one. however, they are
counting on you not liking the base model and upgrading to one with more equipment and a higher price. if they do not have the vehicle listed in the advertisement then it was a bait and switch and you can report them to your state attorney general.
beware! the big print giveth! the small print taketh away!
