1998 lumina ls cooling issue?

Hi, i own a 1998 chevy lumina that seems to be having issues remaining cool. it heats up rather quickly, as soon as you build speed up the temp gauge rises to the top. the temp will go back down if you continue to drive it, but quickly rises again when you come to a stop. also, coolant seems to go through it quickly, i never use water, always 50/50. when you start the car there seems to be a high pitched whining coming from the engine as well, the car had a mass air flow censor replaced, as that seemed to be disconnecting the vacuum line. the car also seems to throw hot air into the chamber with or without the heat on, the air is hotter than it should be for a vehicle, and the fan for the air conditioning/heater no longer works properly. is this car worth repairing at 202,000 miles on it? if it is, what could be the problem with the vehicle
