That depends on the size of the ding, and whether the bumper is steel, aluminum, or plastic. most plastic bumpers will have to be replaced outright because the styrofoam structure behind them gets damaged. if it has a hole in it, then it will definitely need replacing. aluminum or steel bumpers can be straightened, and either polished, painted or chromed.
