My car engine suddenly started to shake it sounds like if it was choking with air ,,a mechanic suggested that the carburator needs a full repair-kit and he raised the air uptake pressure of the carburator using two small screws with a spceial screw-driver underneath the filter case so the shaking rate has become faster (like if the gas pedal is slightly pressed) wht is the best cost-effective method to repair this pb mid-eighties gmc 454

Carabutor kit may cost less than $30,,have someone built it around here about $125,,maybe $200 in a high guess,,to have it rebuilt,,build it urself or have sum 1 do it. it will save u $$$ in the long run,,, a tow bill can cost $60 and up,,so,get what u need (carb rebuilt) and not what u want,,(cheap and simple solution)-and the gas u can save with a nice tuned carb will make the world of difference in the long run,,hope this helps.
