Transmission repair cost?
Not sure if its my transmission-1993 pontiac sunbird-71,000 miles-when in reverse and drive the car dies, when in park and neutral its fine. just had the timing belt and serpentine belt changed as well as a new altenator and new battery.this problem only seems to occur after driving awhile.any thoughts are appreciated.

Thats your lock-up converter.on the side of the tranny,theres a plate,you take off and a sensor is there.change the sensor.i have a friend and hers did the same and it was the sensor that runs the lock-up converter.it would run all day,until you drop it in gear and it would shut off, like you would turn the key off.
