Car Repair

Is 18 too old to learn automotive body repair/ paint?

Most of the people i have seen in the business started much younger like working for their dad and stuff so i was wondering because i have no knowledge at all of how to do this but i would like to make it my career after i graduate go to community college or something and learn how to do it. should i have started younger or is it ok? what i want to do is do automotive body repair and automotive paint working for anybody until i can afford my own shop and then buy old cars and fix them up at my shop to sell. does anybody know a nice place to go and learn how to do this somewhere in the nc-va area? thanks for any help!
Answer
Its never late to learn. i went to a tech school for autobody repair and it was set up for the person who has no experience. if you want to learn it as much as it sounds, you will pick it up. always remember to wear your mask when sanding and painting! ive been painting hummers for the military for six years now, and the paint and dust can catch up with you if youre not safe! nice luck!
