Can i put 2 amps in my car ? if so which one ?!?!?
I was thinking doing my normal amp and sub setup . ya know battery to amp to sub and head unit to amp. then i just bought a pair of kicker 04ss65.2 whice are 100 watts rms, i was wondering if i can do a diff setup with that as in a new amp just for the speakers, so it would be a 2nd power line from battery to amp to speakers and speaker out from headunit to new speakers. also if that is possible what kicker 2channel amp should i use for those speakers its weird it says 3 ohm independence.. i need help im trying to get my car to a local comp on wed meanig i have 4 days. help, oh btw the sub i have is a kicker 12" cvx 4 ohm. would there be a single amp i can use for both the speakers and sub the sub is 750watts rms. i want everything to be powered right. thanks in advance for any and all help.
Answer
Yes you can run 2 amps. i would personally run 1 amp for the subs and 1 amp for the mids/highs. you dont need to run a second wire from the battery. all you need to do is go to your local stereo shop and buy a distrobution block. it will look much cleaner and it easier to install as for the amp to buy, i would stay with a kicker amp around a 200 or 250watt amp.
